Who Am I?

Hey all! My name is Jalal Hussain. I’m from a town in the very southern tip of Texas called Brownsville. I am currently studying at NYU and wish to pursue a career in either law or international relations.

I love travel. In fact, it’s a passion of mine. I got my love of travel after a study abroad programme in Italy. It was my junior year in high school, and it was honestly one of the best times of my life. I had the opportunity to explore the beautiful country of Italy with my friends and learn more about its rich history and culture.

I came up with the idea to create a travel blog because I wanted to find a way to reflect on my journeys abroad. But I also soon realised that this could be a great way for people to learn more about other countries. I find that many Americans don’t really know a lot about the outside world, so I thought maybe this travel blog could help by (hopefully) persuading readers to go out and explore the world for themselves!

As a student of history, you’ll find that a lot of my posts are filled with historical facts and information. I find that history is a good way for us to learn what makes each place unique and worth visiting. I also try and write as informal as possible (without sounding incompetent lol) so my posts could better connect with the reader.

This travel blog is going to be something I will pursue forever. The world is so big and so diverse that I’m sure I’ll never run out of places to talk about. I hope you enjoy these posts as much as I love to travel, and hopefully I’ll succeed in persuading you to go out and explore the world as well!
